Deutsches Museum in MunichThe Deutsches Museum in Munich enjoys international renown. With approximately 1.5 million visitors per year, the Deutsches Museum is one of the most visited museums in Germany. The Deutsches Museum has several locations. The main location is on the Museum Island in Munich. Other locations are the air shipyard in Oberschleissheim, the traffic centre in Munich on the Theresienhöhe, the Deutsches Museum Bonn and in future the Deutsches Museum Nuremberg. The buildings of the Deutsches Museum have a gross floor area of around 145,000 m2 . Future InitiativeIn the future, the Deutsches Museum will continue to offer attractive exhibition areas with the latest aspects of museum education and didactics, to preserve the entire collection of objects and to have buildings that are future-proof. To this end, the Future Initiative has been launched for the period 2015 to 2025, which will ensure the renovation and modernization of the buildings and exhibition areas on the Museum Island site. With the Future Initiative, the Deutsches Museum aims to maintain its position as one of the largest and most important museums of natural science and technology in the world. Stages 1 and 2The stages 1 and 2 at the Museum Island site comprise the fire protection refurbishment and the modernisation of the exhibition areas in two construction phases. Stage 1, with an exhibition area of around 25,000 m2 , will go back into operation in December 2021. The modernisation work for realisation phase 2 will begin afterwards and end in May 2025.Facility ManagementThe Deutsches Museum requires professional facility management in building-related and operationally relevant processes and services. IT support is also required for the facility management of the Deutsches Museum. A suitable CAFM system (Computer Aided Facility Management) must be procured and introduced during the renovation measures on the Museum Island. The present service description summarizes all requirements for a CAFM system for the facility management of the Deutsches Museum.1.2 ObjectivesThe following objectives apply to the procurement of the CAFM system:-- Integration into the existing IT system environment of the Deutsches Museum, Item 3;-- Use by the client's facility management department;-- Possibility of use by external service providers with limited access;-- High acceptance of the software by intended users in the application.-- Applicability of the system at the following locations:- Museum Island 1, 80538 Munich (installation location);- Traffic Centre, Am Bavariapark 5, 80339 Munich;- Schleißheim Aircraft Works, Effnerstr. 18, 85764 Oberschleißheim;- Nuremberg, Augustinerhof, 90403 Nuremberg.
Phase 1: Installation of the CAFM system and adaptationIn phase 1, the CAFM system is installed and integrated with the specific adaptations of the Deutsches Museum based on the functional requirements of this service description.Phase 2: Data import of existing buildings (island, FWS, VZ), Nuremberg and RA 1In phase 2, data is imported into the CAFM system for the existing buildings on the Museum Island, Traffic Center, Aircraft Yard and Nuremberg. In addition, the available data from realisation phase 1 will also be transferred to the CAFM system.phase 3: Test phase of the CAFM system and training coursesStart of the test phase of the CAFM system with project support (test operation of the CAFM software with AN, incl. all training courses).phase 4: Start of productive operation and project supportStart of productive operation (normal working operation) of the CAFM system. Functional test and accompaniment and support in the settling phase after going live.final acceptanceAcceptance of the CAFM system shall be carried out according to the functional requirements and the performance of the CO, with functional test of the software and checklist.
