Description
The isotope ratio mass spectrometer (IRMS) should be coupled to an elemental analyzer (EA) with integrated autosampler. The IRMS should have the capability to detect carbon, nitrogen, and sulfur stable isotope ratios. A software-controlled continuous flow interface should be included for introduction of sample and reference gases to the IRMS. The IRMS and continuous flow interface should also have the capacity to be coupled to a gas chromatograph (GC) with micro-combustion interface and 15N option to detect compound-specific carbon and nitrogen isotope ratios.
