Description

The International Nuremberg Principles Academy (IANP) is a foundation for the promotion of international criminal law based at the historic site of the Nuremberg Trials where the main Nazi war criminals were tried by the International Military Tribunal. The aim of the Academy is to promote the universality, legality and acceptance of international criminal law and its global implementation. Its fields of activity include interdisciplinary and applied research projects, targeted training measures for practitioners in international criminal law, advice for specific target groups and human rights education. The foundation was established by the Federal Republic of Germany, the Free State of Bavaria and the City of Nuremberg. The Academy's premises are located in the East Building of the Nuremberg Palace of Justice. In the same building is the Memorium Nuremberg Trials, whose exhibition provides information about the trials before the International Military Tribunal and the "Nuremberg Succession Trials" held between 1946 and 1949, as well as their impact on the development of international criminal law. The invitation to tender relates to project phase 1 (brainstorming and preliminary design) for the entrance area and the corridors in the office wing, which is intended to reflect the Academy's objectives as set out in its statutes in terms of content and design.
