Description
In the administration buildings of VBL in Karlsruhe, comprehensive conversion and renovation measures are pending. The entire VBLcampus building ensemble with a total of six buildings and a gross floor area of around 26,000 square metres will be modernised. By 2023, the core renovation of the building and the renewal of a parking deck are planned. In this section, the office building House II will be fundamentally modernised from mid-2019 onwards. The house 2 (L x W x H approx. 66 x 13 x 16 m) has a total of five floors plus attic. The basement is used for technical areas, an underground car park entrance and other ancillary rooms. Separate exhaust air system WCs; electrical rooms in the basement A separate exhaust air system will be installed for the WC systems on the office floors and the electrical rooms in the basement. The system consists of an exhaust fan, which is installed in the attic. Suction in the WCs is via a poppet valve. Suction in the electrical rooms is via fire protection disc valves. Silencers are installed upstream and downstream of the fan for silencing. In addition, duct silencers are installed in the WC systems. The adjustment is made by adjusting the poppet valves. The supply of supply air is realized by means of overflow grilles from the corridor area. The exhaust air is conveyed separately into the roof space and discharged through the roof by means of a roof hood. emergency ventilation central cooling unitThe ventilation system serves to dilute the room air if refrigerant is lost. The decisive factor for the air volume in refrigeration machines is the filling volume of the refrigeration system with refrigerant. The room will be equipped with a gas warning system for the detection of R 513A. The connected rooms are ventilated with the air changes and fresh air volume flows specified by the DIN standards, VDI guidelines and workplace guidelines mentioned above. The partial air conditioning system is equipped with the thermodynamic functions heating/cooling/moistening. A cross-flow plate heat exchanger is installed for heat recovery. An electric steam humidifier in the ventilation unit is used for humidification. The supply and exhaust air system is required to supply the persons in the individual areas with the hygienically necessary proportion of fresh air. These are pure outdoor air systems without a mixing chamber. The ventilation systems provide the respective offices with basic cooling. The main cooling loads are covered by the heating/cooling ceiling. 5.0 m3/(h*m2) was selected for the office space. The air is distributed from the ventilation centre in the basement to the riser shafts on the front sides of the building. The supply air duct leads in the basement over a section of approx. 8 m through the access ramp of the underground car park. This section shall be fitted with fire protection cladding. The floors EG to 3.OG are approached via the shafts. A flexible connecting piece is installed in the riser between each storey outlet to protect the fire damper from mechanical stress in the event of a fire. Fire dampers are provided in the shaft walls for each storey outlet. The adjustment is carried out per storey via constant volume flow controllers. Throttle dampers are provided at the air outlets for fine adjustment. In addition, silencers are planned for each floor. The distribution in the projectiles takes place via the corridors. Due to limited space, the supply and exhaust air ducts are guided in opposite directions. The office, kitchenette, conference and meeting rooms are supplied via the ventilation system. A combined supply and return air outlet is provided for each grid. The electrical rooms in the basement are also supplied by the ventilation system.
