Description

The objective of the present procurement project is the procurement of the components for a hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) and their implementation as well as the migration of the existing systems of the previous data center to the new system environment.The essential services include:- Delivery of an operating platform consisting of the two integral components hardware and software in accordance with the systemic requirements;- Participation and support activities in setting up the operating platform through installation and configuration as well as migration of the existing systems of the previous data center;- Execution of product training (on site) including the administration console; and- Maintenance of the operating platform as well as product support for a period of 5 years.
For several years, the Information Technology (IT) department of the clinics has been operating a computer centre for the operation of the extensive applications of the clinic group. The computer centre is based on a classic system structure with ESX servers, storage and backup systems and a core network infrastructure. The existing system must now be modernized. Some of the components in use have reached their maximum service life, and support is no longer available, so that they have to be replaced by new components. In the course of the implementation of the medical and strategic concept for the orientation of the clinics, new services and applications are also becoming mandatory, making a correspondingly powerful system environment with a high degree of availability necessary. Against this background, the clinics intend to procure and implement the components for a hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) in order to migrate the existing systems of the existing data center to the new system environment.
