Description

Cleaning at Frankfurt Airport is very important in terms of the quality and hygiene requirements in the context of public awareness. Due to the high level of public awareness, there is a special interest in very good cleaning quality and smooth operations without any impact on passengers, visitors and airport personnel. The main areas are as follows:Passenger areas:- Passenger areas approx. 78 300 m2,- Gates approx. 15 100 m2,- Checkpoints approx. 6 600 m2,- Stairwells, elevators approx. 3 700 m2,- WC facilities approx. 2 200 m2,The passenger area includes all areas in airport buildings accessible to passengers. This includes both public and security-controlled areas.Operating areas:- offices, meeting rooms approx. 6,500 m2,- stairwells, lifts approx. 4,800 m2,- technical rooms approx. 4,000 m2,- changing rooms approx. 2,000 m2,- WC facilities approx. 1,800 m2,- emergency services, lounges approx. 1,300 m2,- other operating areas (e.g. corridors) approx. 18,000 m2.The operating area includes all accessible and security-controlled areas that are primarily used by airport personnel. The use of the operating area by passengers cannot be ruled out; detailed information on the areas can be found in the tender documents. The contractor is responsible for cleaning the glass and façade of Terminal 2. The main areas are as follows:- outside glass/facade (cleaning on both sides) approx. 4,000 m2,- outside glass/facade (cleaning on the outside only) approx. 42,300 m2,- outside glass/facade (cleaning on the inside only) approx. 17 800 m2,- Inner glass (clean on both sides) approx. 10 500 m2,- Inner glass (clean on one side only) approx. 6 000 m2,- Inner glass with industrial climber (clean inside only) approx. 8 500 m2,- Outer glass with industrial climber (clean outside only) approx. 3 900 m2,- Special areas approx. 9 100 m2,- The detailed areas can be found in the information on the award documents. Fraport AG provides baggage carts as a service to passengers at Frankfurt Airport. The baggage trolley management includes the baggage carts for which an electronically monitored fee system has been created as well as the baby buggies which can be borrowed at the service points. The aim is to guarantee the provision of baggage carts for customers from an economic point of view and to avoid standing around, unused baggage carts. The contents of this service description are geared towards these objectives. By implementing the conditions of the service description, the prerequisites for customer satisfaction and economic service provision are created at the Frankfurt location. The contractor is responsible for baggage car scheduling in Terminal 2, which comprises Terminal 2 including underground car park and access to the terminal. The baggage car fee system currently consists of a total of 33 baggage car depots in Terminal 2, which consist of a pay machine and one or more guide rails for baggage carts. The baggage car depots are placed according to the passenger processes. The baggage car depots currently hold a total of approx. 450 baggage carts suitable for escalators.
