Chile - Improvement of pre-basic school playgrounds

Description

The purpose of this bid is to improve the playgrounds of the Javiera Carrera and Héroes de la Concepción Schools, which depend on the Gabriel González Videla Municipal Corporation and are under the Preferential School Subsidy. SEP
The playground improvement project aims to create a comfortable, fun and safe space for pre-school children. It consists of a complete renovation of the pavements, using rubber as the main material due to its impact-resistant properties. In addition, synthetic turf will be installed along with a ramp for universal accessibility.

To encourage interaction with nature, vertical planters will be included where children will be able to plant and harvest various species of plants. To mitigate sun exposure, it is proposed to install a wooden shading area that will provide a shaded area for the children.

In terms of furniture and games, picnic tables with plastic boards that mimic wood, a climbing wall, uneven logs and chalkboards for the children to paint on will be provided. In addition, the existing enclosure, which is in poor condition, will be improved and covered with colored wooden boards to ensure greater safety.

To beautify the outdoor space, the walls will be painted in accordance with the color design specified in the project plans.
