Description
The University Hospital Halle is planning to introduce Spatial Biology to address scientific questions and patient-oriented research based on spatially intact tissue samples. The object of procurement is a fully automated fluorescence-based complete system consisting of a cyclic staining unit, imaging platform and analysis software for implementation in a core unit. Therefore, a high degree of flexibility is as important as throughput capability, ease of use and automation, e.g. in the form of pre-validated antibody panels.
The University Hospital Halle is planning to introduce Spatial Biology for scientific research and patient-oriented research. A fully automated and high performance device for cyclic staining and analysis of an unlimited number of protein markers by fluorescence-labeled antibodies shall be implemented. The system shall be equipped with an appropriate analysis software and allow parallel processing of at least 4 slides, using histological frozen and kerosene sections as well as different adherent growing cell cultures or cell suspensions as samples. For subcellular analyses, the instrument should have a resolution of less than 600 µm. In order to make the cyclic protein labeling as gentle as possible on the sample, the device should allow enzymatic removal of the dyes and/or antibodies in addition to bleaching of the fluorophores or chemical stripping. To ensure an appropriate throughput of different protein markers and to keep processing and analysis times low, at least four colors should be analyzable in parallel (DAPI/FITC/PE/APC) and it should be possible to use directly labeled antibodies independent of the manufacturer.
