Description
The proposed contract requires planting implementation/supervision combined with Regeneration Declaration surveys at the time of planting on approximately 422 hectares. This contract will also provide brushing implementation/supervision on approximately 40 hectares. The work is located within the Arrow Timber Supply Area in the Kootenay Business Area. The contract will require a qualified forest professional/ SAS on site but can also have a junior position (Accredited Silviculture Surveyor, minimum one (1) completing silviculture surveys in the Province of British Columbia in the last 5 years, OR 1 year planting implementation experience of similar sized project within the last 5 years), if required to help out. All deliverables must be signed and sealed by a Forest Professional, RESULTS and LRM experience is necessary.Start date is expected to be around April 15, 2025 for planting implementation. Changes impacting BCTS clients include new training requirements (Table 008-1, 008-1A, Tailgate Training, SFI Awareness documents, and new Indigenous rights awareness training, as well as changes to training frequency and a new continuing education component). In addition, note changes to EMS/SFM Environmental Field Procedures and Incident Reporting Procedures which occurred June 1, 2022. Supervisors and workers will need to be familiar with these changes prior to commencement of operations.
