The Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (“ICBC”) is currently reviewing space optimization strategies for their administrative office premises across the Metro Vancouver Region. From a review of various demographic and statistical factors within this region, the Vancouver East and Burnaby submarkets have been identified as the preferred location for this facility.ICBC will consider existing buildings, new buildings, development sites, and building conversions in these markets with a preference given to projects located near amenities and in close proximity to a Skytrain Station.ICBC is seeking to provide premises for administrative staff that ensures an accessible, healthy and efficient environment, while maintaining control over its premises operating costs over a long-term horizon.  As such, ICBC fully supports an integrated, collaborative process, in which it can participate/be consulted in the design, development, technology and amenity package of the proposed solution.The primary goal for the RFI is to identify opportunities that best meet these objectives. To assist with the shortlisting, recommendation and approval procedures, ICBC will evaluate the responses from six key perspectives: Proximity to Transit and Amenities within the preferred geographic region Ability to accommodate ICBC space programming needs and operational requirements Experience and capabilities of the property owner and management team Ability to meet the timelines outlined in this RFI Building systems, workplace health features, building/project amenities Sustainability accreditation and/or planned sustainability targets As certain submissions will be eliminated from consideration after the initial RFI process, we strongly encourage your most complete response to this RFI.
