The purpose of these specifications is to award a batch of 3 concessions for the operation of Food & Beverage concepts with typically Belgian characteristics. Through this award procedure, the NMBS wishes to designate a single concessionaire for the operation of a batch of spaces marketing Food & Beverage concepts with typically Belgian characteristics, on the basis of a single concession contract.
For several years, the NMBS has been actively investing in the transformation of railway stations into dynamic and accessible intermodal hubs. Stations have changed considerably in recent years. People no longer come to them just to take the train, but also because they are a pleasant environment with shops and services of all kinds. Railway stations have become networked mobility centers where different means of transport converge. International rail traffic has increased steadily in recent years, and domestic tourism by rail is also on the rise. From a commercial point of view, the major railway stations represent large commercial opportunities that the Stations division is developing in the form of concessions awarded following a competitive process. At the same time, services are also offered to passengers. The SNCB offers uniform services in the various stations, which are identifiable and easy to use for passengers. The survey conducted among the SNCB's customers shows that travellers consider the Food & Beverage shops to be a "must" in the stations. With this call for tender, the SNCB wishes to award a new concession for the exploitation of a lot of 3 spaces for Food & Beverage concepts with typical Belgian characteristics in the Brussels-Midi station in Belgium.
