Overview of the Work/Service RequiredThis contract is for a Wildfire Rehabilitation Specialist to complete data collection, wildfire rehabilitation prescriptions, equipment supervision, grass seeding, and post freshet inspections for the 2024 fire season. The Contractor may be required upon mutual agreement to work in other fire zones within the Selkirk Forest District as requested by the Ministry, depending on the wildfire season.Specific requirements for each phase of this contract can be found in the Tender Documents (Schedule A). In complex or high risk cases the Contractor will be required to incorporate a specialist’s input, e.g., a geotechnical engineer regarding terrain stability. There is no guaranteed work, and the services will be provided on an “as, if and when needed” basis.The Contractor can only be awarded two Wildfire Rehabilitation Specialist Contracts with the Selkirk Forest District unless otherwise approved by the Ministry Representative.
