DESCRIPTION: The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (1), with the Technology Association of Oregon, Portland, OR, for annual participation in the Global Tech Jam Conference, September 10 - 12, 2019.
***** Sole source determination is based on the need for a Global City Teams Challenge (GCTC) project that was designed to advance the deployment of Internet of Things (IoT) and Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) technologies within a smart city/smart community environment around the world. Using the GCTC-SC3 program described above, NIST is seeking broad input from the GCTC/SC3 projects teams that would be of broad benefit to the community. To accomplish the goal, NIST will engage with stakeholders by sponsoring the Global Tech Jam conference scheduled for September 10-12, 2019, in Portland, Oregon. NIST requires registration of 10 attendees, logo/link on website event page, email blasts/social media posts, premier exhibit/meeting space, and the opportunity to address attendees, among other related benefits. NIST's participation in this conference and the benefits described above can only be provided by the Technology Association of Oregon.

****** A determination by the Government whether to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
*****Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirements listed above for NIST may clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. This notice of intent is not a solicitation. Any questions regarding this notice must be submitted in writing via email to Karen Armstrong at Karen.Armstrong@nist.gov. All responses to this notice of intent must be submitted so that they are received at Karen.Armstrong@nist.gov no later than June 13, 2019 at 8:00 AM Eastern Time.
