Description

The proposed project is to Construct a Standard design General Purpose Storage Building for use as Housing Furniture Storage warehouse. This Design-Build warehouse structure will be 18,250 SF. Warehouse floor shall be designed to support multiple tiered pallet racks, and other stackable rack systems needed to increase stack height of odd-shaped furniture and mattresses. Facility includes vehicle parking, building information systems, fire detection and protection systems, and Energy Monitoring Control Systems (EMCS) connection. Sustainability and energy enhancement measures are included. Supporting facilities include underground utilities (water, sewer, gas), electric service, loading docks, ramps, Forklift charging areas, Appliance Maintenance support area, roll-up doors, personnel access doors, parking and access roads, paving, sidewalks, curbs and gutters, sanitary sewer system, storm drainage, information systems, landscaping, and site improvements. Comprehensive Interior Design and furnishings related design services are required. Accessibility for individuals with disability will be provided. Utility connections are required to a privatized [electric distribution, electric generation, natural gas, water, wastewater, central [heating and/or cooling]] system(s). The Army intends to have the [respective] Utilities Privatization System Owner make and own the necessary connections up to the facility service disconnect or other defined point of demarcation.
