France - Freeway construction work

Description

The work involves refurbishing the pavements of the A43 freeway on the current Bron-Manissieux section between PR 3+400 and 9+200 in direction 1 (Lyon/Chambéry) and direction 2 (Chambéry/Lyon), as well as the pavements of the conceded ramps of the n°3 Porte des Alpes and n°4 Bron Aviation interchanges and the A43/A46 junction, including the collectrices.
The work is scheduled to be carried out at night, between June and September in 2025 (work direction 1) and in 2026 (work direction 2). The ramps and collectors of the diffusers and the bifurcation will be treated at the same time as the current section in each direction.The work will include:- renewal of the wearing course (approx. 25,000 tonnes);- localized purging of the binder/subbase courses (approx. 8,100 tonnes);- removal of asbestos-coated material present in several areas of the main section and on-ramps to junctions 3 and 4 (approx. 4,100 tonnes of asbestos-coated spoil);- ancillary work such as bridging, levelling, etc. (approx. 1,000 tonnes).
