Nature of Requirements:

The Department of National Defense (DND) has a requirement to procure five new Aluminum Food Shipping Containers to transport food from Canadian Forces Base Trenton (CFB) to Canadian Forces Station (CFS) Alert.

Delivery is required on or before March 31, 2020.

A bid must comply with all requirements of the bid solicitation to be declared responsive. The responsive bid with the lowest evaluated price will be recommended for award of a contract.

The mandatory technical specifications of the Food Shipping Containers include, but are not limited to:

a. Must have walls made of aluminum with plywood and insulation within the walls;
b. Must have side opening split doors;
c. Must be approximately 65 inches x 86 inches x 48 inches in dimension;
d. Maximum empty weight of the container must be less than 1000 lbs.

The Bidder must submit pricing in accordance with Annex B - Basis of Payment, in Canadian Funds.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.

Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
