Fraport AG uses TFT displays and display controllers for the expansion and maintenance of the existing flight information system at Frankfurt Airport.these displays and display controllers are used to display flight information as well as route guidance information.The primary objective of the project is the delivery of the TFT displays and display controllers for Frankfurt Airport.The TFT displays and display controllers are to be provided by the contractor in accordance with the requirements of Fraport AG.The intended start of the contract is February 1, 2022 with a contract period of four years.Further details under II.2..4
Fraport uses TFT displays and display controllers for the expansion and maintenance of the existing flight information system at Frankfurt Airport. These displays and display controllers are used to display flight information and route guidance information. The control and supply of the displays with flight data and display content is carried out via the TRAVIS flight information system (Traveller Information Display System) used at Frankfurt Airport. Adapters for display controllersThe TFT displays are required with 43", 49", 55" and 65" diagonals, they must each be subject to the general CE (FCC) guidelines.Only TFT displays and display controllers are used that are designed for 24/7 continuous operation.The displays and controllers must comply with the SDM (Smart Display Module / intel SDM) standard. The displays must be equipped with a slot to accommodate the corresponding SDM controller, which must be fully integrated into the display. TFT display and display controller must be physically separated from each other as two separate units. 55" displays can also be supplied with an OPS slot (Open Pluggable Specification) for a transitional period of 12 months from the start of the contract. Prior to the initial commissioning of the equipment, the contractor shall provide Fraport's technical service personnel with sufficient training in the commissioning and configuration of the terminal equipment.Regulations and test specifications, such as relevant EU regulations (CE mark, environmental standards), operational and electrical safety and fire protection must be complied with.In order to ensure that the requirement criteria are met, Fraport reserves the right to request test equipment from the most economical bidders free of charge before awarding the contract.
