The aim is to examine which existing and new technologies are particularly suitable for promoting sustainable passenger transport in the Alpine region (territory of the Alpine Convention) and which specific difficulties arise in the Alpine region with the introduction of these technologies and their daily application. The preparation of the study is divided into 3 service packages:- Inventory of sustainable transport projects in the Alpine region: The contractor draws up an inventory of sustainable projects for passenger transport in the Alpine region by means of unauthorised research. As a result of performance package 1, a first interim report with projects that are evaluated or ranked in terms of sustainability and Alpine specificity is to be prepared,- a workshop is to be held: Based on the preliminary work, an exchange of experiences with approx. 40 to 50 persons will be organised in the form of a workshop in Munich in March 2020 in terms of content and logistics. Within the framework of the workshop, selected pilot projects will be presented by the respective project managers and their advantages and disadvantages as well as any difficulties encountered during implementation will be discussed. The package includes content and organisational tasks, evaluation of the workshop results and preparation of the study. On this basis, recommendations for action are to be formulated with a view to the introduction/use of the above-mentioned technologies. Since the planned workshop is to be held in English and the study reports are to be submitted in English as well as German, the employees of the contractor who are to perform these tasks must have good to very good written and spoken English language skills.
