Description
The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement to provide Ethnocultural Security Threat Group (STG) Disaffiliation and Cultural Support virtually to inmates of similar cultural heritage (those who identify as Black) at Collins Bay Institution and Warkworth Institution.
Objectives:
To provide specialized, supportive services to ethno-cultural offenders, particularly those of identifying as Black, in the Ontario region by delivering specific culturally sensitive programming to this population. This will equip offenders with the tools they need to successfully reintegrate into society and reduce their propensity to engage in a criminal lifestyle and gang affiliation.
