Description
Miljødirektoratet [the Norwegian Environment Agency] needs a new candidate for our consulting expert group for environmental monitoring of offshore petroleum activity. The existing members in the specialist group are Kari E. Ellingsen, Nigel G. Yoccoz and Thierry Baussant. The main assignment for the new member will be to follow-up water column monitoring. We want the person in question to be in the specialist group for at least three years. The specialist group will assist the Norwegian Environment Agency with professional evaluation of plans and programs for the environmental monitoring as well as interpretation of results and reports in the environmental monitoring work. They will also contribute with expert consultancy services for both future monitoring, proposals for further development of monitoring methodology and review of the guidelines for environmental monitoring (M300/2015). The members of the professional group must be independent and the appointment as a member of the group is therefore personal (independent of the employer). The members cannot be directly involved in monitoring connected to offshore petroleum activity.
