Entwicklungsgesellschaft indeland GmbH (EwiG) is an intermunicipal, non-profit company. It is supported by the district of Düren and the towns and communities in the vicinity of the future Indesee.Challenge as opportunity - EwiG has set itself the task of responsibly modernizing our region ecologically and economically, while respecting its unique history and tradition. indeland is an investment in the future of the people who live and work here.indeland is a landscape on the move. The cessation of lignite production in the Inden open pit mine by 2030, the development of a residual lake, and the reorientation of the future (energy) landscape present indeland with special challenges. Shaping structural change for our region is a task for the century. We identify and strengthen the manifold potentials of the indeland. Where there are big excavators today, there will be a fascinating lake landscape tomorrow. Through intensive cooperation with partners, we are reinventing our region - and creating an attractive working, living, and recreational environment already today and for the time after the closure of the open pit mine.
