II.1.4) Brief description:The vocational schools at the Steuerwalder Strasse site are housed on a plot of land in two building complexes with classrooms and workshops as well as administrative rooms. The buildings are technically outdated and show damage to facades, roofs and building services. The buildings no longer meet the current requirements for preventive fire protection. However, the district of Hildesheim does not have a suitable location to realize a new building independently of the existing buildings. Also, the basic structural substance is sustainable. In this respect, it is planned to renovate the site in several construction phases (currently 6 - 7) over the next few years while the school continues to operate.According to the current planning status, the renovation measures should begin in 2023 and be completed by 2030 at the latest.The construction costs for the renovation of the technical equipment of the existing building are estimated at around 26 million euros (gross) according to the current planning and cost status.If individual components cannot be renovated economically, replacement buildings are also conceivable to a limited extent.The necessary construction freedom in the building is to be created in advance by erecting a modular building at another existing vocational school location in the city of Hildesheim (not the subject of this invitation to tender).More detailed information can be found in the information on the subject of the work.
