CO2-neutral energy supply for the green Wuppertal Zoo, specialist planning HLS
The Wuppertal Zoo is currently in need of structural and technical renovation; as a result, it does not meet the current state of the art in terms of energy - measured against climate targets. The technical situation at Wuppertal Zoo is currently characterized by a distributed system of autonomous heating centers, each of which supplies individual enclosures. The systems are based on natural gas or oil as the energy source. The zoo landscape park and the adjacent zoo district are subject to a monument area statute. In addition, there is monument protection for designated buildings in the zoo. This makes technical renovation at the zoo even more difficult, since corresponding agreements and, if necessary, special expenditures are required.Within the scope of the project, a local heating network based on renewable energy sources is to be created and thus replace the current state of a decentralized, outdated energy supply with fossil energy sources. The project combines innovative heat generators (wood gasifier CHP) and uses existing heat sources (here: river water via well water) by means of heat pumps or uses waste heat from other processes (here: refrigeration). The flexible generator structure with a targeted sector coupling, in combination with energy monitoring and intelligent control of generation and demand, offers the opportunity to demonstrate the high CO2 savings potential existing in the building stock, even without immediate energy refurbishment of the building envelope, without denying future refurbishment potential.In the event that the contract is cancelled or otherwise terminated, the client reserves the right to offer the execution of the contract or the remaining services to the remaining bidders - in the order of the tender result and basically at the financial conditions offered by them in the tender procedure. In doing so, the Customer shall ensure that the new Contractor is also suitable in the sense of the tender procedure and is not to be excluded pursuant to Sections 123, 124 GWB.The Customer shall grant the new Contractor a reasonable period of time to prepare for the implementation of the contract. The Customer and the new Contractor may agree on a new price taking into account the additional and reduced costs resulting from a possible shortening or extension of the contract or a postponement of other contract deadlines. In the event that the contract is cancelled or otherwise terminated, the Client reserves the right to offer the performance of the contract or the remaining services to the remaining bidders - in the order of the tender result and in principle at the financial conditions offered by them in the tender procedure. In doing so, the Customer shall ensure that the new Contractor is also suitable in the sense of the tender procedure and is not to be excluded pursuant to Sections 123, 124 GWB.The Customer shall grant the new Contractor a reasonable period of time to prepare for the implementation of the contract. The Client and the new Contractor may agree on a new price taking into account the additional and reduced costs resulting from a possible shortening or extension of the contract or a postponement of other contract deadlines. Before awarding the contract, the Contracting Authority shall request from the bidder intended to be awarded the contract a competition certificate and, if applicable, a certificate of commercial registration.
