The second biological treatment stage (low-load activation) in the Nuremberg City Wastewater Treatment Plant 1 is an essential part of the wastewater treatment process. For the generation of air for the low-load activation, 10 Linde compressors (5 Linde compressors each for BB 1 and 2, as well as 5 Linde compressors for BB 3 and 4) and 2 AERZEN rotary piston blowers (1 compressor each for BB 1 and 2, as well as 1 compressor for BB 3 and 4) are currently used for the activation tanks 1 to 4 (BB 1 to 4). With regard to an energetic optimization, it is planned that for the BB 1 to 4 the compressors are considered and partly exchanged. For this purpose, the work phases 1 to 3 have already been completed by an engineering firm and the work has been planned as far as possible (documents are enclosed with the invitation to tender). It is now planned that the project will be continued by the new engineering office from service phase 5 (LPH 5). According to previous planning, the 10 Linde compressors are to be replaced by 8 new compressors. The new compressors are to be equipped with direct drive and without gearbox, also the speed control is to be carried out via a frequency converter. The 2 AERZEN rotary lobe blowers will remain in the inventory. The following services are to be carried out and planned by the contractor: - Training LPH 1 to LPH 3- Tendering and procurement of new compressors- Proper dismantling of the old compressors- Proper dismantling and removal of the old oil supply- Adjustment of the foundation (incl. tiling work)- Ready-to-operate installation (incl. commissioning of the new compressors)- Adjustment of the existing compressed air lines (inlet/outlet/ etc.)The work must take place during ongoing sewage treatment plant operation. The complete tender documents including the task description and the design planning are attached to the invitation to tender. These must be taken into account.
