Description

In coordination with the GIZ sector project, the contractor is to support the BMZ in the processing and implementation of advisory services on the topics of the CBD Post 2020 Process, biodiversity financing, resource mobilisation, protected areas, combating poaching and illegal wildlife trade, and expert public relations work. This includes, among other things, the thematic processing and presentation of the partly complex facts and functional contexts in an easily understandable form. The thematic framework is set by the relevant international processes, such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), especially SDG 14 and 15 / Agenda 2030, the CBD processes (including COP 15, SBSTTA 23 & 24, SBI-4, WG-8j, OEWG 1, 2 & 3), the G7 and G20 processes, Post-Cotonou, OECD and the UN Decade for the Restoration of Ecosystems.The support service comprises the following service packages:- preparation of statements, comments on documents, drafts of position papers, summaries of relevant newspaper articles, etc. as requested by the BMZ,- evaluation of relevant scientific publications or articles in the specialist press,- expert advice in the run-up to international policy and negotiation processes (above all, the preparation of statements, comments on documents, drafts of position papers, summaries of relevant newspaper articles, etc.). Agenda 2030, Convention on Biological Diversity CBD, G7, G20, EU),- Annual updating of the data basis and inclusion in an (already existing) database of the entire BMZ portfolio structured according to sub-themes,- Annual quantitative and qualitative updating of the entire BMZ portfolio relevant to biodiversity structured according to sub-themes,- Provision of advisory contributions on the conceptual further development of the BMZ portfolio for the conservation of biodiversity on land,- Preparation of project examples from TC and FC on issues relevant to BMZ,- Preparation of knowledge products for the expert public on biodiversity issues (e.g. B. publications, studies),- production of a brochure (approx. 20 pages) including barrier-free print layout,- conception and implementation of (digital) exchange formats for professional public dialogue (e.g. competitions, trainings).
