Description

The Scarpe-Escaut Regional Nature Park (PNRSE) is the winner of the Call for Landscape Plan 2023 projects issued by the French Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion. The Park's application was prompted by a number of dynamics at work in the region, which are likely to result in more or less significant landscape changes. Energy, climate and post-oil issues are at the heart of these changes, and have already been partially addressed in a number of studies and framework documents (SAGE Scarpe Aval, Natur Adapt).

The Park is therefore taking steps to reconcile the need for a climate-energy transition with the need to preserve the region's landscape identity, in order to bring about a change in the way local players look at things, so as to support change and collectively build new landscapes with a sense of identity, energy and resilience.

The "Landscape Plan" approach is the most appropriate for meeting these multiple objectives. It enables us to continue the multi-disciplinary diagnosis of the territory undertaken as part of the revision of the Park Charter.
