The Toronto District School Board intends to secure Contracts with qualified Bidder(s) for the Supply of Battery Powered Lawn and Garden Equipment.  All equipment is to be new and unused, delivered to TDSB locations ready to be put into service on an ''as and when required" basis. Important note: This RFP requests pricing on the specific named equipment, ECOH, GREENWORKS and STHIL. No alternates or substitutes will be allowed on pricing tables.Overview: Toronto District School Board (the “Board” or “TDSB”) is a public English school board operating in the City of Toronto, in the Province of Ontario. It is the largest school board in Canada and the fourth largest in North America. TDSB operates approximately 584 schools and provides educational services to approximately 246,000 students each year and employs approximately 40,000 employees. The workforce is largely unionized, with the majority of employees belonging to numerous bargaining units.  Scope of the Requirement:The battery equipment in this Request is for the purposes of routine grounds maintenance carried out by school caretakers. See the map pdf titled 'Locations.pdf to see the school locations where equipment may be required/delivered.The TDSB’s historical volume over a five-year period of gas-powered lawn and garden equipment purchases is as follows. o Push Lawn Mowers - 73o String Trimmers - 90o Hedge Trimmers – data not availableo Leaf Blowers - 92Annual Estimated Quantities in the Pricing Tables are based on an annual estimate and Board forecasting.Term: The Successful Bidder(s) will be required to enter into a contract with firm pricing which will be effective for a period from May 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024. The Board reserves the right, at the sole discretion of the Board to extend for four (4) additional one (1) year periods. The Successful Bidder shall provide any extension pricing requests to the Board substantiated with specific proof of supplier/manufacture pricing to the Bidder.  The terms and conditions of the extension options would remain the same as for the initial contract period.Evaluation Criterion: 100% on Overall Pricing by BrandPricing 100 points: Table A Equipment price list weighting is 90% plus Table B - TDSB Preferred price list weighting is 10%.  Pricing Table A and Table B are required to be filled out for each Manufacture Brand being offered. RFP Schedule:April 2024: RFP released to Market, Closing and any required Rectification period (5 business days).
