Description
In the course of a planned flat roof renovation of the aircraft maintenance building Hangar 1 at Munich Airport, Wartungsallee, FMG intends to completely dismantle or remove the partly dilapidated F90 fire protection cladding of the steel structure of the hangar supporting structure made of cement-bonded calcium silicate fire protection panels as well as the likewise partly dilapidated F30 fire protection coating on parts of the steel structure of the hangar supporting structure. According to the budgeting, the construction measure is to be carried out in 2 construction phases in 2021 and 2022.The scope of rehabilitation includes the steel structure of the hangar supporting structure mainly in the area of the trusses of the roof supporting structure as well as individual supports and bracing bracings.Hangar 1 is a 2-bay hangar structure (length approx. 304 m, width approx. 79 m, height approx. 32.7 m) with adjoining administrative buildings on the north side and so-called "pocket" annexes (length approx. 33.6 m, width approx. 20.4 m, height approx. 24.6 m).The roof structure of the two main halls was made of steel and provided with F90 fire protection cladding and F30 fire protection paint respectively. The trapezoidal sheet metal of the flat roof rests on the purlins of the secondary trusses, which are spaced approx. 6.0 m apart. The secondary trusses (span between approx. 23.3 m and 29.3 m, overall height between approx. 1.95 m and 2.2 m) are supported on 3 main trusses as well as the northern outer wall. The main trusses (span approx. 148.7 m, height approx. 6.3 m) are truss constructions which are supported on the partition wall of the two hall aisles and the two outer walls on columns or pylons and are additionally suspended 4 times in each bay by cables. The building is located in the security area of the airport, in the area left to Deutsche Lufthansa AG, and is used by them as a maintenance hangar for the regular maintenance and repair of aircraft. During the construction period, one half of the hangar, including the pockets, is not in use. The other half, as well as the annexes and adjacent buildings, are in regular operation, partly around the clock. There is operational traffic on the roads surrounding the building. The apron borders directly to the south of the hall.
The construction work will include the following services:- Site installation, preparatory protective measures,- Complete dismantling of the F90 fire protection cladding,- Partial removal of the damaged F30 fire protection paint- Cleaning work on the hall supporting structure. The aim of the measure is the complete dismantling of the F90 fire protection cladding and the partial removal of damaged F30 fire protection paint on the steel structure of the hall supporting structure.
