Bol.com is the most popular ecommerce website in the Netherlands and Belgium, with over 8 million registered users.

It sells consumer goods like, but is not limited to:

- books, music and DVDs (new and second-hand)
- games (not PC games)
- toys
- kids and baby (including clothes)
- electronics and computers
- cooking and dining
- beauty and health (not medicines and homeopathic products)
- garden, pets and DIY
- homeware and lifestyle
- sports and leisure
- jewellery and watches

Bol are looking for well-known UK brands in these categories who would like to enter the Dutch and Belgian markets. Bol is a household name in both countries, and has a large local customer base, who know and trust the brand.

To sell on the platform, international brands need to have a Dutch business registration, VAT number and bank account. These requirements can be bypassed by using a Merchant of Record service, which can be outsourced for a fee (the Department for International Trade E-Exporting team can make introductions to service providers).

Prohibited items and categories at the marketplace are food and drink, services, subscriptions, second hand products (except books and some media products) and medicine (including homeopathic).
