Description
The Bibriscampus of the city of Herbrechtingen is currently home to an elementary school, a community school and a general education high school. In a commissioned feasibility study (performance phase 0) including technical inventory analysis, the city of Herbrechtingen identified a need for renovation and expansion in order to meet current educational and structural requirements. In order to obtain an overview of the resulting requirements, the municipal council commissioned two other specialist offices to prepare a development plan in the childcare and school areas. The result is a space requirement plan approved by the municipal council. The city of Herbrechtingen intends to implement the school development plan on the Bibriscampus, which has been agreed with the school administrators. This currently consists mainly of the following building complexes: Elementary School (built in 1957), Community School (1957), Administrative and Intermediate Building (1969), Buigen High School (1973), Addition and Expansion of Administrative and Intermediate Building (2004). In 2008 a solitary building "Rotes Haus" was erected. The current building of the community school is to be supplemented in a first construction phase by a new extension so that it will be home to the elementary and community school after completion. The existing community school building is to be renovated mainly during the vacations. The elementary school building, which will now become empty, is to be used again and again as a temporary accommodation during the various construction phases. After completion of all work, this building will be demolished due to its structural condition. In a further construction phase, the administration building and parts of the high school (east) will be extended and renovated. The 2-story high school is to be completely renovated horizontally in two construction phases (north and south). In the last construction phase, the intermediate building including its specialized classes will be renovated. Due to the necessity of a continued use of the different school types, a sectional realization of the construction measures is necessary.The main buildings to be preserved have only been refurbished to a minor extent since their construction. Large parts of the building fabric as well as the entire building services correspond to the respective years of construction of the buildings and are in need of renovation. A feasibility study was completed together with an architect's office, various specialist planners and pollutant experts. As a result, among other things, the necessary renovation of the severely outdated building services and the need for a full-scale energy renovation of the buildings were recorded. The following measures, among others, are necessary:-Fire protection upgrading of the interior walls, doors and fire barriers in the necessary fire protection qualities - Creation of additional second structural escape routes (previously existing escape balconies) - Renewal of the electrical, heating and sanitary installations,-Installation of centralized/decentralized ventilation units-Energetic renovation of the outer shell (adapted to the existing building materials)-Installation of an elevator to ensure accessibility in the building-Repair of floor, ceiling and wall coverings that are no longer worth preserving-Implementation of measures to realize the media development plan-User-related changes to the floor plan to adapt to the educational concept.A partial relocation of the school is planned in sections over the entire period of the expansion and renovation. For this purpose, the existing elementary school building, which will later become obsolete, and other buildings are to be used.The goal is to complete the execution in the third quarter of 2029.
