CTMS AI Prototyping - The program Digital Rail (DSD) of DB Netz AG is designing a digitized rail system of the future and researching new fields of technology. The planning and control system CTMS (Capacity & Traffic Management System) is a core component of future railway operations. According to the current state of development, the CTMS will be based on state-of-the-art algorithms from the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and operations research (OR).However, especially in the field of AI only a few solutions for the railway sector are known so far. Effective combinations of OR methods and AI are currently the subject of fundamental research. AI methods (alone and in combination with OR) for implementing the CTMS are to be researched and developed by means of this tender.
