Raising the platform ? Großkrotzenburg
The platform raising project at Großkrotzenburg station includes essential work to increase accessibility, safety, capacity and comfort for passengers. The most important key data on the construction project are Platform length 266 m, average platform width 3.41 m, platform area 996 m² and a target height of 76 cm above SOK. The following trades are decisive components of this tender for the construction of the transportation system (conventional):

Earthworks: Total volume of excavation approx. 1,300 m³, preparation of the subsoil approx. 1,300 m² and soil backfilling approx. 1,500 m³
Foundation work: Erection of prefabricated foundations 280 m for the platform edge and pouring of strip foundations approx. 20 m³.
Concrete work: Construction of the platform body and other concrete structures including precast platform edges approx. 280 m, angle supports approx. 160 m, in-situ concrete 70 m³ and superstructure of the urban PU with a floor slab 5 m³
Metal construction: production and installation of railings approx. 290 m, weather protection houses 3 pcs. and other metal structures e.g. display case 1 pc.
Drainage work: Construction of box gutters 260 m, collecting pipes DN250 on 240 m for surface water drainage and manholes 8 pcs.
Paving work: Laying of concrete block paving 1,000 m², natural stone mosaic paving 10 m² on the platform incl. guiding strips 270 m
Signage: Installation of warning/safety signs 18 pcs. and system signs 8 pcs.
Disposal of demolition and dismantling: Professional disposal of excavated material 2,300 t, demolition of platform edges 270 m and foundations 85m³, dismantling of temporary platform elevation 775 m², demolition of asphalt 975 m², dismantling of cable ducts 260 m and other waste in accordance with the applicable regulations.
There is a clear separation between the traffic system and the 50 Hz electrical energy system. The following trades are part of this tender.

Underground cable duct work: Laying of cable conduits OD 110 2,450 m and installation of cable ducts 15 pcs.

Foundation work for lighting masts: erection of lighting masts incl. foundations 15 pcs.

Civil engineering work for ITC: laying of cable conduits 5 m, installation of DAS+ 1 pc.

Special requirements include compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations as well as minimizing disruption to ongoing rail operations during construction work. Due to an unfavorably positioned switch, part of the platform has to be built entirely at night. The LST systems remain in place and must be secured during the construction period.
