Germany - Construction work for research buildings

Description

The State of Berlin intends to construct a laboratory building for Freie Universität zu Berlin in Berlin Dahlem. The four-storey new building - Supramolecular Functional Architectures at Biological Interfaces (SupraFAB) will have a base storey and a transition to the existing chemical building. The new research building will mainly comprise laboratory areas, large equipment areas and office areas. It should enable a modern, sustainable form of research work. In addition, the criteria economy, functionality, flexibility and design quality must be taken into account. With regard to design, compliance with the high vibration-free requirements of large equipment and laboratories must be noted as an important criterion for usability.
