Location:Masurenallee 4-614057 BerlinGeneral description of constructionThe central bus station Berlin is located on the main traffic axes Messedamm and Masurenallee as well as on the side streets Soorstraße and Bredtschneiderstraße. In June 2016, the reconstruction and capacity expansion of the Central Bus Station Berlin (hereinafter referred to as ZOB Berlin) was started during ongoing operations. This reconstruction is divided into 3 construction phases. Construction phase 1 has already been completed, construction phase 2 will be completed by the 2nd quarter of 2020.Construction phase 3 includes the new construction of the waiting hall house AC and the new construction of the circumferential roofing of walkway C. These measures are to be completed by the fall of 2022. In addition to increasing the number of bus platforms and optimizing the traffic concept, the goals of the conversion and capacity expansion measures include.:- the expansion of capacity from 27 to 33 bus stops- the increase in the quality of service and the quality of stay- the improvement of basic services for passengers and people visiting the ZOB- the provision of a new passenger information system for optimal orientation of passengers and control of the operating process and- the renewal of the video technologyNew Building ACOn the site of the ZOB, a representative waiting hall with adjoining sales and catering areas, public sanitary facilities and other ancillary operational rooms is to be realized as House A and C in the southwestern area. The new building replaces the existing buildings A and C as well as the staircase in between. New accesses to the area of the ZOB are to be created via two stairways, which will be built into the existing embankment to Soorstraße. The existing stairways will be partially dismantled. Furthermore, prefabricated boxes for the storage of technical components (Dvt boxes) as well as cleaning equipment are to be installed in the embankment facing Soorstrasse.Since opening in May 1966, building sections A and C on the ZOB have only been provisionally repaired. House A connects to the multi-storey building complex of the hotel ibis. The entire complex of House A / Hotel ibis has a built-up area of approximately 870 m2 in the existing building.House A has one storey and a basement. It has a built-up area of approximately 550 m2 , and its external dimensions are approximately 33.70 m x 15.86 m. House A currently houses various bus providers, a commercial unit and seating and waiting facilities for passengers. The waiting area, including the passageway, has an area of approximately 354 m2. House C has one floor and a basement. It has a built-up area of approximately 200.00 m2. During the implementation of the third construction phase, the traffic facilities (all planned bus platforms) are already in operation.Construction description of the new roof for walkway C:Walkway C will receive a new roofing, which corresponds in construction and design to the platform roofing of the bus stops. A lightweight metal construction made of trapezoidal sheet metal or folded rib structure is planned. The metal panels are insulated sandwich panels to prevent condensation. The rainwater drainage takes place at the eaves or in the center of the roofing, so that the metal panels are designed in the shape of a pult. The roofing elements are supported by steel columns with a tree structure.
