Description
A new building for an educational centre is being constructed for the University Hospital Bonn. There is a legally binding development plan "Klinikgelände auf dem Venusberg". The building of the new educational centre is located at Venusberg - Campus 1 in Bonn. The building is designed in an L-shape with 2 legs of different lengths and connects to the existing building of the eye clinic. Due to the excavation for the new building below the foundation level of the existing building, a support of the existing building is necessary. Due to the depth of the excavation pit, the adjacent traffic areas and pipe systems below ground level, shoring (soldier pile wall) is required in the area of the east, south and west facades. The corresponding planning was carried out by the office KK Engíneering GmbH via the office Geo Consult. The building has 3 above-ground floors and a full basement. In the basement, there are some recreation rooms, which can be naturally lit and ventilated by lowering the ground level. Due to the planned high-quality use (server rooms in the basement), the components floor slab and basement walls are in service class A (archive: NKL A***- demanding), which is why a so-called hybrid waterproofing consisting of WU concrete + fresh concrete composite foil is planned. Further details can be found in the attached tender documents.
General object descriptionA new building for an educational centre is being constructed for the University Hospital Bonn, and a legally binding development plan "Clinic area on the Venusberg" exists. The building of the new educational centre is located at Venusberg - Campus 1 (formerly Sigmund-Freud-Straße 25), 53127 Bonn (see site plan)The building is designed in L-shape with 2 legs of different lengths and is connected to the existing building of the eye clinic. Due to the excavation for the new building below the foundation level of the existing building, it is necessary to support the existing building. Due to the depth of the excavation pit, the adjacent traffic areas and pipe systems below ground level, shoring (soldier pile wall) is required in the area of the east, south and west facades. The corresponding planning was carried out by the office KK Engíneering GmbH via Geo Consult The building has 3 floors above ground and a full basement. Due to the planned high-quality use (server rooms in the basement), the components floor slab and basement walls are in service class A (archive: NKL A***- demanding), which is why a so-called hybrid sealing consisting of WU concrete + fresh concrete composite foil is planned. The ceilings of the individual floors are designed as reinforced concrete flat slabs and span in the transverse direction of the building from the truss parapets, which function as covers in the façade via the double row of columns along the corridor. The circumferential parapets in the outer wall are produced as underlays/coverings, while the bracing wall panels made of reinforced concrete are provided on the staircases, in the outer wall axes, on the lecture hall and on the gable sides and are fundamentally stable. The ceiling above ground level in the area of the lecture hall with a span of over 11 m is held back with 2 "flag walls" along the corridor on the 1st floor. These also support the columns above on the 2nd floor. The load transfer of the flag walls is carried by the supports in the outer wall on the ground floor to the basement wall in the foundation. The resulting horizontal loads are transferred via the ceilings into the bracing walls of the auditorium. The horizontal bracing of the building is carried out via the slab disks in the bracing staircase core and the truss wall disks on the foundation. The foundation consists of a 50 cm thick elastically bedded floor slab with overhang and lowering in certain areas for the installation and removal of pipes running underneath the floor slab. The earthworks begin after the measures for clearing the building site have been carried out, which is planned, tendered and monitored by Björnsen Beratende Ingenieure GmbH.
