The object of this contract is the renovation of the Wasmuël wastewater treatment plant on the territory of the Commune of Quaregnon. The plant has a treatment capacity of 250,000 PE at present. The renovation consists mainly of bringing the works into conformity with the code on well-being at work, repairing the concrete, replacing obsolete electromechanical equipment, preparing the installation of an odour treatment system. It also involves the construction of a shed above the existing grit chambers. The construction of this shed is necessary for the treatment of odors and the execution of the work generates significant CO2 emissions. IDEA has the ambition to reduce these CO2 emissions during the execution of its public contracts. The realization of this ambition is only possible through the active efforts of its contractors. For this reason, this procurement includes the CO2 Performance Ladder methodology, which rewards bidders who make efforts to reduce their CO2 emissions with an advantage in the award criteria. The contractual provisions for the CO2 Performance Ladder methodology are set forth in Sections 2. Award Criteria, Y (Conditions of Performance) and Section 45 Penalties of these specifications.
