Description

The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) is seeking a competent contractor to undertake all that is required to construct a refuelling system for IPVs and helicopters, as well as a launch and recovery system for IPVs at Station Pedro Cays.

You are expected to provide the following goods and services:

- the construction of a 1 x 5,000 litres fuel tank with fuel pumps, fire suppression system and locking mechanism that can fit in a 20’ container slot onboard a ship. The tank must be divided into 3 compartments as follows:

a. 2500 litre tank – gas
b. 1500 litre tank – diesel
c. 1000 litre tank – jet A1

- the construction of a self-propelled fuel barge on with its own fire suppression system, cathodic protection, fuel pumps and 3 tank sections as follows:

a. 2500 litre tank – gas
b. 1500 litre tank – diesel
c. 1000 litre tank – jet A1

The Craft should be between 35 and 50 feet in length and capable using its own steam to make way from mainland Jamaica to the Pedro Cays. The engine capacity of barge must be sufficient to adequately manoeuvre the craft in the seaway between the middle cay anchorage and the middle cay. The craft must also be able to manoeuvre alongside a ship at anchor.

- construct on site at Station Pedro Cays fuel tanks as follows:

a. 5000 litre tank – gas
b. 3000 litre tank – diesel
c. 2000 litre tank – jet A1 (safe distance relative to Pedro Cays LZ)

- build and supply on site a fuel pumping system to pump fuel from the fuel barge docking site to respective shore-side fuel tanks.

- supply an on site launch roller ramp with electric and hydraulic winch recovery system for forty-four foot safe 38’ full cabin IPV.
