Description

As a result of the excavations of the "Jewish Quarter", Department VII - Art and Culture - of the City of Cologne is planning the new building MIQUA, Jewish Museum in the Archaeological Quarter of Cologne, part of which is the course on level 00.The following services and quantities are required: production, delivery and assembly, breakthroughs and underpinnings for the construction of the course on level 00, for the Praetorium (existing) and archaeological zone (new museum) areas, etc. The reinforced concrete course will provide the later exhibition space for visitors. This is largely to be done on more grown earth or archaeological excavations. Parts of the building are on supports to supplement the existing building. The different height levels are additionally connected by steel staircases. The shell level was determined and produced by the archaeologists of the city of Cologne, so that the shell work has to be carried out at this level. Subareas shall be filled or intercepted. To secure individual archaeological walls, work must be carried out in consultation with the archaeologists. As the course will be built in the archaeological zone, work on level 00 will only be carried out manually or by means of emission-free transport. The tight space conditions on the entire level 00 must be taken into account. A freight elevator is available for access to level 00 as well as various 2 x 2 m access openings. This is where the materials are to be brought in. For the Praetorium area, access can be via a staircase in the Spanish Building. The structural work is carried out in sections, depending on the amount of sand removed. The Eben 00 was filled with sand in order to erect the area of the new museum building. On the one hand to erect the ceiling above level 00 and to protect the archaeological findings. As this process takes some time, interruptions and waiting times can be expected during the shell construction phase in level 00. The praetorium is excluded from sand filling. Construction work can begin here after its closure, from 1.4.2019.
