II.1.4) Brief description: The consultation concerns the concession of an intermodal rail transport service for accompanied or unaccompanied semi-trailers between the French station at Aiton and the Italian station at Orbassano through the Fréjus rail tunnel on a rail route of approximately 175 km. II.1.5) Estimated total value: Value excluding VAT: 42000000 euros II.1.6) Information on lots: This contract is divided into lots: no. II.2) Description II.2.1) Title II.2.2) Additional CPV code(s): 60210000 II.2.3) Place of performance: NUTS code: FRK27, ITC11 II.2.4) Description of services: The maximum frequency of the service is 4 daily return trips between Aiton and Orbassano stations, 5 days a week, with 2 return trips on Saturdays, for a total of 50 weeks a year and a minimum theoretical capacity of 22 units for a single trip. II.2.5) Award criteria: The concession is awarded on the basis of the criteria set out in the contract documents. In particular, bidders must demonstrate smooth operation and good management of terminal capacity in order to avoid rail conflicts, conflicts between heavy goods vehicle traffic and handling equipment, saturation of terminal parking areas, and traffic jams at terminal entrances and exits.
