Germany - Concession contract for school catering at Schongau school center (primary, middle, secondary school, grammar school)

Description

A school canteen was built as part of the partial new construction of the Schongau elementary school.
This canteen (hereinafter referred to as the elementary school canteen) is located in the Schongau school center with 2 schools sponsored by the town of Schongau (elementary school and secondary school) and 2 schools sponsored by the district (secondary school and grammar school). There is a cooperation between the district and the town of Schongau for the renovation/expansion of the school center. Part of the cooperation is the construction of a joint canteen, which has been serving all 4 schools since the 2019/20 school year.

The management of the canteens is awarded as a service concession to a food service provider with experience in school catering by the town of Schongau. This means that the concessionaire is responsible for the entire food supply process. The CN provides the staff and bills the parents, pupils and other guests directly.
Recess catering in the respective schools is part of the canteen operation.
