Description

For technical reasons, a contract notice is published. In fact, however, it is one:

Invitation

Kick-off for the foundation of the Data Institute

Invitation to the presentation of the pilot use cases and the founding procedure for the Data Institute by the Federal Ministry of the Interior and for Home Affairs and the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection

- April 10, 2024, 12:00-5:00 p.m.
- Ludwig-Erhard-Saal (auditorium) of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection
(Access via Invalidenstr. 48, 10115 Berlin)

According to the coalition agreement, the Data Institute is to promote data availability and standardization as well as establish data trustee models and licenses. It was agreed that this should be implemented as part of an agile, demand-oriented process. In concrete terms, this means Projects (?use cases?) will be implemented that demonstrate the challenges of data availability, use and standardization in an exemplary manner (modules 1 and 2 ? implementation of use cases). The specific tasks, decision-making structures and legal form of the data institute are to be derived from these findings (Module 3 ? Preparatory work for foundation). The full concept paper is available here:https://www.bmwk.de/Redaktion/DE/Downloads/C-D/230510-konzeptpapier-dateninstitut.pdf?__blob=publicationFile&v=8. Following intensive preparations, we are currently starting to implement the use cases and will also be announcing further information on the foundation process.
