Sealed tenders in separate envelopes marked "Tender for Water Treatment Upgrade – Building Supply - Contract No. 447” will be received at the District of Kitimat offices, located at 270 City Centre, Kitimat, BC, V8C 2H7, no later than 3:00 p.m. local time on April 18, 2024 and will be opened in public at that time.The works under this Contract is to design, supply, and construct a pre-engineered building that will be used for a new water treatment plant at 391 Haisla Blvd, Kitimat, BC, V8C 1A4. Work includes, but is not limited to the following: Design of a post disaster building that meets the drawings and specifications included in this tender in accordance to BCBC 2024. ​​​​​​​Submission of shop drawings for Owner and Consultant review. Supply all building materials as specified in the drawings. Construct a water treatment plant building (approximately 18.6m x 23.2m) that includes a two storey admin office space and process equipment area.  Water treatment plant building includes: Structural steel columns and beams including specified coatings and finishes Girts and purlins Metal roofing with snow stop system Metal wall cladding system including doors, windows, flashings, trim, insulation, and interior metal liner as specified Heavy duty gutters and downspouts Associated anchor bolts, fasteners, and any required hardware. Construction of the pre-engineered building will be coordinated by a General Contractor under a seperate Agreement with the District of Kitimat who will act as Prime Contractor. Tender documents may be obtained from the District of Kitimat on or after March 27, 2024. The Bid Documents can be obtained from District of Kitimat.
