Description

The object of the award procedure is the procurement of Next Generation Firewalls by means of a framework agreement with 6 economic participants. Next Generation Firewalls in the context of this invitation to tender are generally understood to be hardware appliances which are used by the customer's customers to protect their network infrastructure. The product portfolio required by MPG and described in these award documents must be offered by the future contractor and must be accessible via a link from the online shop to MPG's SRM system.The product portfolio required by the Max Planck Society and to be offered by the contractor can be characterized by the following network device classes:- Device class 1: Entry Level Firewall,- Device class 2: Midrange Firewall,- Device class 3: Enterprise Firewall,- Device class 4: High Availability Firewall,- Device class 5: Software Firewall.with common market requirements and features.software firewalls are firewalls that are executed in virtualized environments (e.g. vmware ESXi, Hyper-V, KVM). The procurement of network components (switches, routers, WLAN controllers and access points) is not the subject of the present award procedure, as these are covered by other framework agreements. However, in addition to the delivery of Next Generation Firewalls, the award procedure here also includes services and the procurement of Next Generation Firewall accessories from a wide range of products.The general administration as well as the institutes and facilities of the Max Planck Society must independently compile the Next Generation Firewalls and the respective accessories in the Contractor's online shop within the contractually agreed product range - as far as individualisation (e.g. modules for modular firewalls) is technically possible, selectable and freely configurable.The scope of services comprises the following service components:1) Provision, connection and operation of an online shop for MPG;2) Sale and delivery of Next Generation Firewalls including associated accessories (whereby the accessories can be ordered in isolation);3) Supplementary services:a) Services (e.g. repair, replacement, in individual cases on-site support);b) Other services (e.g. installation, configuration, elaboration of concepts);c) Provision of an online platform with corresponding up-to-date content, in particular documentation (including user and administration manuals, description of configuration and commissioning) and downloads (and a. Updates of the operating software, current drivers, etc.);d) Constantly available contact point for service requests (e.g. fault report, first fault diagnosis);e) Reporting with reports on individual orders and the agreed assortment.in the online shop, the "purchase without service" (but with the statutory warranty) must be preselected as standard for each Next Generation Firewall. In addition to the Next Generation Firewalls, a 12-month on-site warranty and a 36-month on-site warranty must optionally be selectable. An optional extension of the term to 60 months is to be offered.
