Description
Bakkenteigen kulturhus was built when it was decided that Høgskolen i Vestfold [Vestfold University College] (now Universitetet i Sørøst-Norge, USN [the University of South-Eastern Norway]) would be located in Horten kommune [Horten Municipality]. The building is owned by Statsbygg [the Directorate of Public Construction and Property] and Horten kommune [Horten Municipality] operates the cultural centre as part of its business.The cultural centres has been in permanent and continual operation since the opening in 1991 and houses the municipality's largest hall and stage. The cultural house is a central arena for dissemination of culture and performance of different types of stage-art and reaches a broad target group. In addition to a more commercial program, the centre is a permanent venue for the National Norwegian Touring Theatre and The Royal Norwegian Navy Band and is also the home-field for children/youth and adults in the voluntary culture sector (dance, corps, song and theatre). Performances under the auspices of DKS and DKSS are also performed here.USN rents the hall for teaching and other types of events.The public capacity is currently 450.
The contracting authority wants to procure 450 new public seats to be installed in Bakkenteigen Cultural Centre in summer 2022. Through this procurement the contracting authority will find one (1) tenderers with the implementation capacity and correct competence who can supply a realisable offer based on the contracting authority's specifications. The contracting authority will enter into a contract with one (1) tenderers for delivery and installation of new public chairs of good quality in the cultural centre's amphitheatre, as well as correct disposal of packaging and waste generated by the installation. The upgrade must safeguard or strengthen the aesthetic, functional and acoustic qualities of the hall. The position of the rows of seats must be maintained as they currently are.The project is subject to being fully financed.Project periodThe project has an extremely tight time-limit summer 2022 while the hall is closed to the public and students. Installation must take place in the weeks 30-32, but this will specifically be agreed at contract entry. The selected tenderer will supply and install new chairs.At the commencement of installation the contracting authority will have emptied the hall. The walls will be freshly painted and a new floor covering will be laid.See Annex 1, The tender folder for further information on the assignment and among other things, the award criteria.
