Description

The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS) Contracting Office (Code 400), hereby provides notice for a request for quote for N4523A24Q1327. The contract is expected to be awarded under FAR 15.101-2 lowest price technically acceptable source selection process.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) has been determined to be 811310 – Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance. This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in the repair and maintenance of commercial and industrial machinery and equipment. Establishments in this industry either sharpen/install commercial and industrial machinery blades and saws or provide welding (e.g., automotive, general) repair services; or repair agricultural and other heavy and industrial machinery and equipment (e.g., forklifts and other material handling equipment, machine tools, commercial refrigeration equipment, construction equipment, and mining machinery). NAICS code 811310 has a size standard of $12,500,000. The PSC code for this procurement has been determined to be J019- Maintenance, Repair and Rebuilding of Equipment: Ships, Small Craft, Pontoons, and Floating Docks.

Puget Sound Naval Shipyard requires support to the manufacture of BRR-6B Drum Shaft for the SSBN 739 USS NEBRASKA. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform the CENTER DRILLING/MACHINING as defined in this Performance Work Statement (PWS). Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) does not have the necessary machinery and capacity to perform the work here on site. PSNS & IMF needs someone who can perform center drilling on a line bore shaft to help support the Navy’s mission. This is for TRF Bangor.

PSNS and IMF Contracting Office (Code 400) will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this request for quote. Only written responses will be considered. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award.
All documents submitted will not be returned. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed in the attached RFQ to Contract Specialist, Hailee Scheibner at hailee.c.scheibner.civ@us.navy.mil and Contracting Officer, Jesse Schimke at jesse.e.schimke.civ@us.navy.mil . The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor's capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support these requirements.
Vendor shall complete the pricing structure, section of the request for quote in its entirety and return with any other documentation, attachments or data as required by this solicitation. Review and fill out all attachments as required.
