Description

The S28 line of Regiobahn Fahrbetriebsgesellschaft mbH runs a total of 34 kilometres from Mettmann via Erkrath, Düsseldorf and Neuss to Kaarst. A 16-kilometer section of DB Netz AG's line between Düsseldorf-Gerresheim and Neuss HBF will be used. The Regiobahn itself is the infrastructure owner for the remaining 18 kilometres. Talent railcars are used on the Regiobahn GmbH route network. Equipped with 2 diesel engines, the railcar reaches a top speed of 100 km/h and takes around 51 minutes to complete the 18 stops. Since 2015, the Regiobahn has been planning the electrification of all lines. The overhead contact line systems for electrification are designed in accordance with DB Ril. 997.01 "Planning and erecting overhead contact line systems". The return current control, railway earthing and equipotential bonding will be installed in accordance with DB Ril.997.02. The supply and switching of the overhead line systems must be implemented in accordance with DB Ril. 997.03. The sections of the line are fed from the Deutsche Bahn Energie GmbH network. Part of the contract is the installation of the ready-to-operate overhead line system Re 100 or Re 60 (Dornap-Hahnenfurth railway station) according to Ebs drawings for the 1 AC 15 kV 16.7 Hz power system on lines 2727, 2423, 2723, 2550 and 2530, including equipment for the stations Bf Dornap-Hahnenfurth, Bf Mettmann Stadtwald, Bf IKEA Kaarst and Bf Kaarster See. Installation and commissioning of the local controls (OSE) including telecontrol technology at all operating points ready for operation. 1) Route 2423/2723/2550: PFA lc, railway station Dornap-Hahnenfurth (storage station) incl. connection to the feed line at Wuppertal-Vohwinkel railway station, 2) Route 2727: PFA I, station Wuppertal-Vohwinkel / branch Dornap (connection DB Netz AG), 3) line 2727: PFA I / PFA la, Dornap junction via Dornap-Hahnenfurth station to Mettmann-Stadtwald station, 4) Route 2423: PFA II, Mettmann-Stadtwald station to Düsseldorf-Gerresheim station, 5) Route 2423: PFA II, Düsseldorf-Gerresheim station (DB Netz AG connection), 6) Route 2530: PFA III, Neuss main station (DB Netz AG connection), 7) Route 2530: PFA III, Neuss main station to Kaarster See. Services to be provided: -- Construction services for the installation of overhead line systems for the 1 AC 15 kV 16.7 Hz power system incl. local controls on lines 2727, 2423, 2723, 2550 and 2530, -- Construction services for the adaptation of the overhead line systems in the connection area of DB Netz AG and connection with new 1 AC 15 kV 16.7 Hz power system overhead line systems to be installed incl. Local controls for installations on adjacent lines (federal railways), -- Construction work for connecting the overhead line systems with DB Energie GmbH railway energy supply facilities, -- Maintenance of the overhead line systems. The maintenance obligations begin with the acceptance of the respective construction phase. After acceptance of the final construction phase, the maintenance contract runs for a further 5 years for all plants.
