Description

The district of Lippe is planning the construction of a building for the "Climate Experience World Oerlinghausen". This is an exhibition building with a covered area of approx. 800 sqm and a building volume of approx. 4,700 cbm. In the exhibition, climate change is presented interactively and answers to the urgent questions of climate impact adaptation are developed. The construction of the Climate Experience World Oerlinghausen (KEW) is funded within the framework of the Regional Economic Development Program of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. In this procedure the services will be tendered as described under II.2.4).
Due to the use of modern multimedia and multi-sensory effects, the KEW will have a high experience factor aimed at a large target group of visitors. In combination with the communication of information on climate protection, climate change and already necessary adaptation measures by humans, this results in a supra-regional unique selling proposition. The project also serves to strengthen the network of tourism infrastructures as well as the economic development of the commercial tourism sector as a whole. Essential for the construction and operation of the KEW is the anchoring of sustainability approaches, which are reflected in many areas of implementation.Built-up area approx. 800 sqmBuilding volume approx. 4,700 cbmIndoor heights of the exhibition rooms up to 5.60 mGFA approx. 680 sqmInterior facade approx. 900 sqmInterior walls approx. 530 sqmRoof area approx. 680 sqmThe object will be built on a former sunbathing lawn of the Oerlinghausen open-air swimming pool in sustainable timber frame construction. On the west side the property is tangent to a district heating pipeline. On the east side there is a sidewalk with a power supply line. The recycled concrete floor slab is built over two main sewers. The facade will be constructed as a ventilated wood facade. The roofs of the individual structures will be constructed as flat roofs and equipped with green roofs. The transparent components of the facades will be built partly in post-and-beam construction, partly in frameless glazing, partly in conventional window construction with shading system. A cavity floor will be provided throughout the building. The floor surfaces will be finished with parquet flooring. Suspended acoustical ceilings will be installed on the interior roof surfaces. The building will be equipped with a modern sustainable building services concept. The building will be accessible and walkable at ground level without thresholds, ensuring predominantly barrier-free access. The outside facilities will be laid out in a nature-oriented experience concept. For further quantities and details, please refer to the specifications.
