Description

The Office of the Prime Minister invites bids for the renovation and upgrading of spaces at Jamaica Post locations to accommodate National Identification System (NIDS) enrolment sites. The project is an implementation of the NIDS for economic growth.

Browns Town – Main Street, Browns Town, St. Ann

Spaulding - Main Street Spaulding, Clarendon

Port Antonio - 1 Gideon Avenue, Port Antonio, Portland

Port Maria – Main Street, Port Maria, St. Mary

Yallahs – Main Street, Yallahs, St. Thomas

Morant Bay – 43 Queen Street, Morant Bay, St. Thomas

The scope consists of modification and upgrading works to the Post Office to include the retrofitting of a space within the Post Office for the NIDS office.

This space will be retrofitted and extended into the corridor of the existing building to form the entrance.

The work includes:

• demolition of walls
• installation of drywall partitioning
• wall and floor finishes
• ceiling finishes
• windows and doors
• sanitary fixtures
• plumbing
• heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) installation
• electrical and fire protection systems
• camera
• access control

The installation of specified furniture is also included.

Renovation works will also be carried out on the Post Office building to include:

• renovation of counters
• tiling to floor in banking hall
• finishes to ceiling
• installation of windows
• renovation of restrooms
