Description
To monitor the extent and intensity of bottom contact by trawl and dredge fishing for all inshore and deepwater target species in the Territorial Sea and Exclusive Economic Zone.
This project will provide for the spatial description and monitoring of the seabed areas contacted by mobile bottom fishing gear (trawl and dredge) for the 2007/8 to 2018/19 fishing years for all inshore stocks and for the 1989/90 to 2018/19 fishing years for all deepwater stocks. The outputs from this project will support inshore and deepwater Fisheries Management in meeting their objectives provided in the respective management plans.
