REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONSDESCRIPTION OF SCOPE OF WORKThe Contractor shall furnish all necessary labour, supervision, materials, plant, equipment, layout, survey, permits, and inspections, and related services to renovate Bear Creek Track as noted in the detailed scope of work as described in the Supplementary Specifications - Project (Schedule B - Appendix 2) and Contract Drawings (Project) (Schedule B – Appendix 3). The Contractor will furnish certificates confirming work conforms to requirements of Authorities having jurisdiction.The Work generally includes, but not limited to, removal and disposal of existing track surface and installation of new rubberized surfacing, including drainage works, new asphalt where required, and grading as per the attached plans and specifications.The Work will be undertaken at 13750 88th Ave, Surrey, BC, V3W 3L1 (the “Place of the Work”). The lack of and/or omission of detailed specifications does not minimize the acceptable levels of service and only the best commercial practices are acceptable.Contractor to comply with all BC Plumbing Code, BC Fire Marshal, BC Workers’ Compensation Board, National Building Code of Canada, BC Boiler Inspector, BC Electrical Inspector, National Fire Protection Association, and any other authorities having local jurisdiction. Failure to abide by these rules and regulations will result in being immediately escorted from the work site.INFORMATION MEETINGAn information meeting will be hosted by the City Representative to discuss the City’s requirements under this RFQ (the “Information Meeting”). While attendance is at the discretion of Contractors, Contractors who do not attend will be deemed to have attended the Information Meeting and to have received all of the information given at the Information Meeting. At the time of issuance of this RFQ a meeting has been scheduled as follows:When: Tuesday, February 20Where: Bear Creek Track, 13750 88th Ave, SurreyNorth end of trackTime: 1:00 pm PSTIt is possible that some questions raised, and information provided during the Information Meeting may be the only source of critical information essential to prepare and submit a successful Proposal. Proponents are responsible to ensure they are fully informed and have a clear understanding of the requirements.Note: No minutes of the Information Meeting will be providedThe Proponents are responsible for any fees incurred as a result of the Information Meeting. ADDENDAIf the Owner determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the Owner’s Representative will post a written addendum on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca (the “BC Bid Website) and on the Owner Website at www.surrey.ca (the “Owner Website”) and upon posting will be deemed to form part of this RFQ. No amendment of any kind to the RFQ is effective unless it is posted in a formal written addendum on the Owner Website. Upon submitting a Quotation, Contractors will be deemed to have received notice of alladdenda that are posted on the Owner Website.All inquiries related to this RFQ should be directed in writing to purchasing@surrey.ca
